Art and Place Lesson Plan - Facilitated
This lesson explores themes of the Prairie experience, place and identity, and landscape and installation art in a contemporary context. Facilitated by a Remai Modern educator using artist Faye HeavyShield’s piece wave as a starting point, the workshop includes a video that teaches methods for art viewing, a hands-on mini-installation art project inspired by the artist’s work with reference to landscape drawing and paper-cutting and folding techniques. Lesson-specific art supplies included.
