Art and Place Lesson Plan - Self Delivery
This lesson explores themes of the Prairie experience, place and identity, as well as landscape and installation art in a contemporary context, using artist Faye HeavyShield’s piece wave as a starting point. The lesson includes support materials to help the educator teach methods of art viewing, and step by step instructions for a hands-on mini-installation art project that encourages students to explore the artist’s and their own connection to place.
